The Scene Begins with a Medium shot-High angle-Static
The choice of camera position is quite a good one, it introduces the scene so we need to have a good view of the main actor in order to identify the setting and any possible danger that may occur.

Long Shot- Level- Static
Prior to this picture the room was in darkness the long shot is used to show the lights coming on in the room and therefore pushes us to believe that there maybe danger ahead for Luke. The reason for the camera moving further away from the character shows us that a new character will be entering the scene. This does happen therefore justifying the camera change.

Close up- High angle- Static
The reason for the close up of Luke in this scene is to show the audience his reaction to the introduction of the new character. This will highlight to the audience if the entering character will be one to be feared or perhaps a friend. Luke's reaction is very important to us which is the reason for his close up here.
Medium Long Shot- High angle- static
The Angle used in this camera angle is chosen to show the powerful nature of vader he is leaning over the camera which make the audience fell threatened.

Extreme Wide Shot- High Angle- Static
This shot shows Skywalker falling into a deep pit from extremely high up so therefore a high angle. The shot is extremely wide to demonstrate how small the main character has become and therefore showing a defeated  attitude.

Extreme Close up- Level- Static
The reason for the extreme close up in this picture is to show the anguish on Skywalker's face. The director
obviously wanted the audience to see the distress of the character so this is the reason for the extreme close up to Skywalker's face.

Throughout the clips above each of the frames are Steadicam i believe the reason for this is because the director was keen on portraying the emotions of Skywalker to the audience. i also believe the reason for this is the dated nature of the film the filming technology has moved on a lot since the date of the film so perhaps if the film were to be digitally remastered the Movement of the camera may improve.
